Annual Report 2011

Hello. My
name is Meg Holland and I’ve been a Council tenant for over twenty
years. I live on the Turf Hill Estate in Rochdale and as well as
being a member of the Estate Management Board, I am also active on
the Tenants’ Editorial Panel and the Tenants Panel’ .
This year’s annual report follows the same
model as last year, whereby we have outlined the set of standards
as defined by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and explained how
we have worked over the year to meet them.
It has been encouraging to see staff and
tenants working so hard together over the past year and making
preparations for the future. We have all become much more focused
and that’s a very positive thing. It is a work in progress, but I
am looking forward to the future of RBH.
The standards that we have outlined inside
this report are:
• Tenant
Involvement and Empowerment
• Neighbourhood and Community
• Home
• Tenancy
• Value For Money
• Governance and Financial Viability
RBH have worked closely with the Tenants’
Editorial Panel and the Tenants’ Scrutiny Commission to produce
this report. We have tried to make it interesting, informative and
easy to read by sticking to the facts and keeping jargon to a
minimum. However, we have also included a jargon buster on page
34.
We hope you enjoy reading this report.
