Work Life Balance
The Worklife Balance Scheme has been
introduced to enable managers and their staff to work as flexibly
as possible, whilst ensuring that all service delivery requirements
are met.
Worklife balance is both a means by which
staff can shape their working patterns to suit their individual
circumstances, as well as being an approach to work that allows the
organisation to plan best use of the resources.
It is recognised that there will be times when
different areas of operation and different teams will need to use
the scheme to meet local needs. Whilst the scheme covers the period
7.00am to 7.00pm the number of staff that will need to start work
between 7:00am – 8:00am will be limited due to service needs.
The granting of Worklife Balance can be
approved by an appropriate manager who must give due regard to the
service delivery requirements of the team and the Manager must be
satisfied that the time accrued is a result of approved work
activity.
