Welcome to HomeChoice
Welcome to HomeChoice - we’re here to do everything we can to help you find the right home to rent in Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, Littleborough and Milnrow.
We aim to maximise your choice of homes and make the application process as straightforward as possible.
You can look at the homes on our website whenever you wish. If you would like to express an interest in any of the homes you will need to be registered for rehousing at RBH - it’s quick and easy to do.
All our homes are advertised on our website on a weekly cycle from 2pm on Thursday to 2pm the following Wednesday and you can place an interest on up to three homes during each cycle.
Our HomeChoice team are here to help you with any queries so please get in touch on freephone 0800 027 7769.
Applying for an RBH home
To bid for homes on the HomeChoice website you must be registered for rehousing with RBH.
You can apply online by visiting the HomeChoice website. If you need assistance contact HomeChoice on Freephone 0800 027 7769 or by calling in to our customer centre at St Alban’s House, Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1UQ.
Please let us have two forms of ID with your completed application form so that we can start helping you as soon as possible.
One of these should preferably be a photo ID and the other must confirm your current address. We need to see ID for all applicants and anyone aged 16 or over who are part of your family. Please also let us have copies of birth certificates and child benefit letters for any children aged 16 and under in your family.
You should also send information about your employment and support and, if you live outside the borough and feel you have a local connection, then please also provide proof of this.
Once we have received your application it will be assessed for eligibility.
Please send your ID and all other proof to support your application to HomeChoice, St Alban’s House, Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1UQ or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to make an offer of a home to you without this.
If you have current or former tenancy arrears with a landlord or you have caused a serious nuisance then you may be classed as ineligible for rehousing. We will write to you to inform you of your ineligibility but you will have a Right of Appeal.
If your application is accepted you will receive a registration letter via email or in the post which will provide you with your registration number and priority band.
You can then start looking for suitable homes on the HomeChoice section of our website.
RBH is committed to doing everything it can to support current and former members of the armed forces and their families. Please get in touch to discuss how we can help you.
