Following our initial assessments of the flood impact inside Olive Standring House in Littleborough, we now expect that it will take several months to make good all the damage.
We are liaising with all our tenants to advise them on re-housing options as well as supporting them with insurance claims. We will continue to ensure we keep tenants (and where appropriate their relatives) up to date with the situation as it progresses.
Rochdale Council is responding speedily on all fronts. RBH has submitted claims on behalf of its affected tenants to the Council for financial support. Further updates from Rochdale Council are available on their dedicated website page.
If carrying out cleaning themselves or allowing assistance from volunteers, we strongly advise tenants to follow the government’s advice on clearing and cleaning inside or outside their homes. Click here to download the advice (PDF document).
Update 23:08 (Tuesday 29th December): Mains power has now been restored to College Bank. Unfortunately a power surge when switching over from the temporary on-site generators has affected the water pump and therefore there is no drinking water supply. RBH is working with the pump engineers to ensure that the supply is restored as soon as possible and this should happen by mid morning on Wednesday 30th December. Please ensure all taps are turned off to prevent any flooding when the supply is restored.
Don't forget our emergency phone line operates 24/7 throughout the festive period on freephone 0800 027 7769.
