Governance is the way we are run to
make sure we conduct our business effectively and work within our
rules and regulations.
The new Mutual RBH will operate in a
way that engages tenants and employees to take real decisions on
what the priorities are for our customers and how the society will
be run to achieve these.

Members - Membership
is optional but gives Members the right to:
- Attend, speak and vote at Members’
meetings
- Elect representatives to the
Representative Body
- Stand for election to the
Representative Body
Representative Body –
this will be made up of:
- 15 tenant
representatives.
- 3 representatives
from the Tenant Management Organisations.
- 8 employee
representatives.
- 2 Council
representatives.
- 3 representatives
from external stakeholders.
The responsibilities of the
Representative Body will include setting the society’s policy
framework and appointing (and removing) the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors -
the Board will be made up of 8 non-executive
directors (this means that they are volunteers and are not paid
staff) and 2 executive directors (who are employed
by RBH).
