Points to Ponder

  • Do you need it? If so do you have to buy it? Has someone else got things they could give or lend? New is nice, but will second hand do?
  • When you borrow, what you are doing is giving away some or all of your future income. Borrowing money means you will have less money in future as you will need to repay the amount borrowed
  • Is your spending already more than or close to your income? Think very carefully about whether you can afford to borrow. Seeking debt advice might be a better option.
  • Banks and other financial organisations want you to go into debt. That’s how they make money.
