Becoming a tenant

As soon as we have good news for you we will get in touch by phone or letter to let you know that we are offering you a home.

This will happen as soon as possible after the cycle closes on the Wednesday at 2pm. You will then have 48 hours to make a decision about whether or not to accept the home.

When you accept a home we will let you know if it’s ready to view. If it’s not ready, we will let you know as soon as you can go round.

If your home is ready to let, we will put you in touch with your Neighbourhood Housing Officer to arrange a viewing.

If you wish to accept the home after you have viewed it we will arrange a time for you to sign the paperwork.

We will ask for two weeks rent in advance, two forms of ID for each tenant and proof of income.

Our Neighbourhood/Income Officer will provide you with any advice and support you need around your tenancy.

If you refuse three homes that are offered to you then unfortunately we may have to give you a lower priority for future applications.
