Housing Options

There is also a range of other housing options available and we are here to help you find out if they could be right for you.

Looking for a room to rent? We have the answer!

The RBH “let’s Share” rent a room scheme provides a room to rent within a two bedroom furnished flat with secure bedroom, shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom.

If you are interested in our "Let's Share" rent-a-room scheme, our available homes are listed on the RBH HomeChoice portal.

If you would like more information about these homes please contact the Homechoice team on 0800 027 7769

Do you need a bigger home or is your home now too large for you? Do you have employment in a different area or need to move closer to family and are finding it difficult to move?

As a current tenant with RBH you could ‘swap’ homes with another secure tenant of either RBH, another housing association or local council. This is known as a mutual exchange.

Exchange Locata is a free direct online social housing exchange service for tenants and landlords. It enables RBH tenants to swap homes with tenants anywhere in the country.

Click here for more information and to register with Exchange Locata.

Once you have found someone to exchange (swap) homes with, the process can be much quicker than the normal rehousing route.

The borough has a large and varied private rented sector which provides another option for rehousing.

The Bond Board, are a homeless charity who assist people who are homeless or threatened with losing their home to access private rented accommodation and maintain their tenancy https://www.thebondboard.org.uk/

These homes will allow local families and first-time buyers to make their first steps into home ownership. If you require any further information, please email sharedownership@rbh.org.uk
