What we offer
RBH is keen to support tenants into employment and understand how difficult it can be to apply for jobs or undertake training without access to appropriate IT equipment, especially now as more employers move their recruitment online and training providers deliver remotely. We are currently offering an IT Digital Equipment Bursary helping tenants access the equipment they need, such as a laptop or a tablet.
"Having access to this equipment will make life so much easier, completing learning by mobile is so difficult, seeing the document I’m working on is so much better.”
Arron - RBH Tenant
Who is Eligible?
Our RBH Digital IT Bursary offers tenants access to digital equipment to help them move close to employment. We have limited support available so to access this help you:
- Must be an RBH tenant or be permanently living in an RBH property
- Must be unemployed and actively seeking work (applying for vacancies)
- Must be over the age application
- Must not already have access to a laptop of adequate specification (or access to other digital equipment where this has been requested)
Further terms and conditions apply.
How can I apply?
We are currently accepting referrals from our trusted partners Upturn, Employment Links Partnerships and Rochdale Council’s Work and Skills team. If you are currently working with any of these services to retrain or find employment, why not see if they could refer you for this support.
"This is going to help me such a lot, I can get on with my training and hopefully get back into work. It will give me a chance to learn other computer skills too”

"Haylay had built up lots of past experience in the retail and warehousing, but not worked for a while focusing instead on her family commitments. Now her 2 children are of school age, she’s ready to look at doing some further training and is hoping for a career as a teaching assistant within a secondary school setting where she feels her people skills and enthusiasm will be valued.”
