RBH says thank you to local pupils for their kindness

21st May 2021

Pupils from three Rochdale primary schools have received a big thank you from RBH for the support they provided to RBH Independent Living Scheme tenants during the pandemic restrictions.

Children at St Patrick's in Foxholes, St James's in Wardle, and St Mary's in Balderstone all kept in regular touch with their older neighbours during the pandemic - sending cards, NHS pictures, Remembrance Sunday pictures, Christmas cards, and Easter cards to make sure that residents knew that people in the community were thinking about them.

To say thank you for their support, and with additional funding from Action Together, over 800 pupils from the three schools received a chocolate bar and a packet of bee friendly seeds as a thank you from RBH, along with a certificate.

Rachel Saunders, RBH Community Investment Advisor, said:

"The residents really enjoyed receiving the cards and it brought a real smile to their faces. We're really glad to have the opportunity to say thank you to all the children who showed such kindness during a really difficult time."
