Together with Tenants and Members
Together with Tenants and Members gives RBH a great opportunity to explore with tenants and members what you think about the relationship we have and how we can make it even better.
This means working with you to ensure that your voice is heard at all levels of decision-making and our relationship is built on listening, trust and accountability.
Together with Tenants is a national framework developed by the National Housing Federation in partnership with tenants around the country. The approach aims to ensure that people who live in housing association homes up and down the country can experience a consistently positive and constructive relationship with their landlord.
As one of the early adopters of the framework, it is our ambition to involve as many tenants and members as possible over the coming months in developing a Charter (a set of promises) that will set out commitments for our:
- Voice and Influence
- Quality of Homes
- What happens when things go wrong
As we are a mutual we feel that we have a good starting point and because of our mutuality our project is called Together with Tenants and Members.
Please share your views in the following ways:
- You may be asked to spare five minutes by an RBH tenant volunteer or employee for a chat about this. In this way we are hoping to collect the views of over 1,000 tenants to help shape our Charter. If you are asked to take part please do spare us a few minutes.
- Join us between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday 21st November for a Facebook chat on the RBH Member Discussion Group.
- If we don’t get to speak to you, please complete our online survey instead http://tiny.cc/TwTMSurvey. You can also call into St Alban's House or The Strand Hub to complete a paper copy, or you can call us on freephone 0800 027 7769 (option 7) and make an appointment for us to call you back.
We’d love to see you at our Let’s Chat event on 16 January 2020 between 6pm and 9pm at Castlemere Banqueting Hall, 8 Castemere Street Rochdale, OL11 3SW (Opposite our offices on Drake Street)
We all enjoy getting together with like-minded people and putting the world to rights over a plate of food. Our Let’s Chat event is just that.
The event will see us sharing the findings from the November consultation and exploring together how the views will be reflected in our Charter. Join us to hear how tenants, employees and members think we can improve our relationship and then help us put the world to rights in terms of what the feedback means for the commitments that should be in our Together with Tenants and Members Charter.
Book now by sending an email to email@example.com, or if you prefer you can call us on Freephone 0800 027 7769.
February and March 2020
During February and March our steering group of tenant and employee members will then finalise our Charter - which we will then launch in the Spring!
