Coming Soon

  • Abbeydale is the third phase in the regeneration of the Lower Falinge neighbourhood and forms an integral part of our investment plans for Rochdale Town Centre.
  • There will be 55 homes for affordable rent; of which 22 are houses with two or three bedrooms and 33 are apartments with one or two bedrooms.
  • At the heart of the development will be a public open green space - equipped with a new play area and community garden - which will connect and enhance the wider Lower Falinge area.
  • Expected completion: spring 2022.
Abbeydale Resized
  • The Strand Phase 2 is the latest phase in our regeneration of Kirkholt and is adjacent to the first phase of The Strand Development.
  • The second phase will create 32 additional homes for affordable rent, including 10 two-bed, 18 three-bed and 4 four-bed houses.
  • This development will further reinforce RBH’s commitment to Kirkholt by providing more quality affordable homes for rent.
  • A community consultation was held in November 2019 and the development plans were well received.
  • Expected completion: autumn 2022.

  • The Balderstone Road project in Kirkholt is earmarked for a vacant site a stone’s throw away from The Strand Community Hub and accompanying amenities.
  • The development is to include 20 homes for affordable rent, with 6 two-bed and 14 three-bed houses.
  • This development will be built at the same time as The Strand Phase 2 and is part of a wider strategy to maximise housing choice within Kirkholt.
  • Expected completion: autumn 2022.

Completed Developments

  • Located in the heart of Kirkholt, this development was the largest project in RBH’s regeneration of the area so far. In addition to 16 apartments for affordable rent, we built a modern community hub which operates as a focal point for local residents.
  • The Hub houses a number of facilities, including a public hall, the Community Café, a training kitchen, shared IT equipment and a food pantry.
  • Rentable retail space was also built as part of the development.
  • The apartments scored a 100% satisfaction rate in the ‘New Homes Satisfaction Survey’ completed by tenants.
  • In 2019 the development won the Rochdale Borough Design Award.
  • Completed in autumn 2018.
Strand Right Angle
  • As part of our long term investment programme to improve the quality and mix of homes in Rochdale Town Centre, we have delivered the first two phases of the Lower Falinge redevelopment project.
  • The two schemes have provided 45 homes, with Phase 1 seeing the completion of 26
  • Phase 2 was completed in autumn 2018 and delivered 19 family homes for affordable rent.
Lower Falinge
  • Bringing back into use a vacant site, this stunning development comprises 25 two and three-bedroom homes for shared ownership in a sought after location in Middleton.
  • Nominated as one of NHBC’s top 10 schemes.
  • Completed in 2020.
Hopwood Green
  • An exclusive development of 39 two and three-bedroom homes for shared ownership and rent to buy.
  • It is situated in the foothills of the Pennines to the northeast of Rochdale, and is within easy reach of amenities and open green space.
  • Completed in January 2021.
Cottons Resized
  • Peel Lane will be made up of 12 high-quality homes for affordable rent, with two, three or four bedrooms.
  • The scheme is situated in the heart of an increasingly popular area of Heywood. A community consultation event was held in March 2020 and the scheme was very well received.
