About Your Local Pantry

The first pantry was open in Rochdale by a group of women in Kirkholt in 2016. This model was then replicated by other groups in the borough. Your Local Pantry is a membership-based organisation and are volunteer-led – meaning they are operated by local people for local people.

How much does it cost?

  • Kirkholt Pantry: £4.00
  • Freehold Pantry: £4.00
  • Smallbridge Pantry: £4.00

Prices are set by local volunteers in consultation with their pantry members - each pantry has a different offer to meet local needs. Please note that we provide support to Heywood Pantry at Back o' th' Moss which operates independently.

When is it open?

The pantries are open once a week on a Thursday from 10am to 12pm.

Who can join the Local Pantry?

There are NO vouchers, referrals, or means-tested applications, so as long you are a resident of Kirkholt, Smallbridge, or Freehold you are eligible to join.
