Two family-friendly celebrations are set to be held in Kirkholt and Smallbridge in mid-June thanks to our Age Friendly Project, which we run in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).

The free-to-attend "A Day To Remember" festivals will run from 12 noon until 4pm on Friday 13 June (Kirkholt, Rhodes Ravine) and Saturday 14 June (Smallbridge, Stevenson Square).

Local and national performers will grace the event marquee, with shelter from the elements and seated areas available. At Rhodes Ravine, there will be an art and nature trail through the area, and both festivals will start with a parade to the festival site. RBH colleague volunteers will be on hand to help out at both events.

The Kirkholt and Smallbridge Age Friendly Project is a jointly-funded partnership between Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and RBH which aims to make these two areas more age friendly place to live.

Our Age Friendly activities have already made a difference to the communities in Kirkholt and Smallbridge. We've installed new benches, created artwork, held regular events, and worked together to lobby decision-makers to make improvements. These events will be a celebration of our past and future, and we would love to see as many local people as possible join us. Whilst our wider activities are aimed at older residents, there will be plenty of fun for local people of all ages at our Day To Remember events!
