We've secured the eviction of Mark Worsley of 6 Beverley, Angel Meadow for drug-related criminal activity, homophobic abuse, and electric meter tampering, as well as continual anti-social behaviour. This is a clear demonstration of our zero-tolerance approach to criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.

Our team first became aware of issues at Mr Worsley's flat in September 2023. Complaints included visitors using drugs and discarding needles in the communal areas, noise and rowdy behaviour, homophobic abuse and offensive language, damage to the communal doors and windows, tampering with the electricity meter, and using a petrol operated generator in the flat, posing significant health and safety risks to everyone living in or visiting the block.

In May 2024, with the support of Greater Manchester Police, we secured a two-year court injunction in an attempt to prevent Mr Worsley from continuing his anti-social behaviour. However, the problems continued, leaving us with no alternative but to apply to the courts for eviction. Possession of the flat was secured via the courts on 24 July 2025.

This customer has put himself and his neighbours at serious risk of harm, and caused unacceptable levels of nuisance for those who live around him. We will not tolerate this behaviour, and this case demonstrates that we will take whatever action is necessary to keep our customers and our neighbourhoods safe. We work closely with Greater Manchester Police and Rochdale Borough Council to do this. We want to encourage our customers to report any anti-social behaviour or criminal activity to the police and to us so that we can take action.

You can report crime to Greater Manchester Police via their website or by calling 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency. You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Report anti-social behaviour to us on our website or by calling 0800 027 7769.

This is a really positive outcome for the people living in the Angel Meadow area who should not be expected to tolerate anti-social behaviour in their neighbourhood. Our local policing teams take a proactive, problem-solving approach alongside partners to tackle the issues that matter most to communities. Of course, we can’t achieve outcomes like this without the support of the public and anyone with information or concerns should contact us so we can take action to improve lives and make communities safer.
