What facilities are available?

All our independent schemes come with the following facilities for your safety and comfort:

• Your own private flat or bungalow with bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom/wet room
• Central heating
• Modern scheme manager call equipment
• 24 hour response monitoring from either a scheme manager or warden call service
• High-tech equipment to meet your individual needs
• Door entry system to schemes
• Fully integrated fire alarm system monitored 24 hours a day
• Communal lounge and laundry facilities

Is Independent Living with Support right for you?

• Independent Living is right for you if you just need some assistance to be able to live independently
• Independent Living Schemes are not nursing or care homes – if you need full time support, then it is not the right option for you
• You will have a nominated scheme manager and they will attend every scheme, every day
• Your scheme manager will help you maintain your tenancy and provide you with advice and guidance on any support needs
• A control centre, which operates 24 hours a day will respond to you and help you if the scheme manager is not on site
• Outside of working hours, you can choose who will help you – either a mobile warden service, or your friends and family
• Some of the technology you can have if you need it includes fall detectors, door openers and flood detectors
• All of the schemes have a range of activities for the people who live there so you can join in and feel less isolated
• All schemes have communal gardens which you are encouraged to use
• Some schemes have specialist assistive bathing facilities which your carers can access with you if needed
