An update on the RBH Repairs Service

An update from our Chief Executive, Gareth Swarbrick, about our Repairs Service.

Hello there,

I want to give you a short update about our repairs service during lockdown.

I'm really proud of our team who have continued to schedule appointments as normal during the current lockdown. Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of both tenants and employees, and we have put in place clear procedures to enable our Repairs Team to work safely during the pandemic. We are also continuing to make appointments for essential safety checks, which help to keep your home safe.

  • There continues to be a national shortage of some materials that our teams need, and we are still experiencing a backlog of work in some areas. We are very grateful for your patience and understanding as our team continue to work in challenging conditions.
  • It is really important that if anyone in your household is self-isolating or has symptoms of coronavirus, you must let our team know so that we can reschedule your appointment. This includes any school-age children who have been sent home to self-isolate. This will enable us to keep both our employees safe as well as other tenants. If you need an emergency repair, please discuss this with our team so that we can carry out your repair safely.

The easiest way to report a repair is to use our MyRBH portal - visit www.myrbh.org.uk to sign up if you have not done so already. You can also call us on Freephone 0800 027 7769 or send an email to rbh.repairs@rbh.org.uk.

The latest RBH service information is available on our website at www.rbh.org.uk/coronavirus. You can also access the latest local and national advice on the Rochdale Council website at www.rochdale.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Best wishes,

Gareth Swarbrick
RBH Chief Executive
