Go-ahead given for more new homes in Kirkholt

We've got permission to deliver 20 more new homes - all for genuinely affordable rent.

CGI of new homes on Balderstone Road

We're really pleased to let you know that our plans for further new homes on Balderstone Road have been granted planning permission by Rochdale Council.

The 20 new homes include 6 two-bedroom houses and 14 houses with three bedrooms. All 20 homes will be for genuinely affordable rent and are designed by Triangle Architects, who also designed the Strand Hub and the new Kirkholt health centre. The homes will be built by Lovell Partnerships with the support of funding from Homes England.

The homes represent another phase of regeneration at the heart of Kirkholt, and help to further our goal of creating new genuinely affordable homes of the right type and in the right place to benefit local people across Rochdale Borough.

By working in partnership with the community, the local authority, and other partners, we’ve already helped to transform the heart of Kirkholt, and these additional 20 homes will provide further high quality and affordable new homes in the area.

Clare Tostevin RBH Director of Growth

Work will start shortly on the new site. We are already working in the area with Lovell Partnerships to deliver 32 further new homes on the nearby site adjacent to the Strand Hub.
