Summer holidays are upon us and it is that time of year when many of us are thinking about replacing school uniform.

But what do you do with your old, outgrown uniform?

Did you know it can be recycled, helping families in need at the same time as protecting our environment.

Uniform For All is a non-profit organisation, part funded by RBH. They will accept your donated school uniform, launder, and redistribute items to those who need them.

You can donate at various drop off points across the borough including:

  • Any library in Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale.
  • RBH Paint Shop, Freehold.
  • Once loved Heywood.
  • SYKE Community Hub.
  • The Strand Community Hub, Rochdale.
  • Coop Cutgate Precinct.

The scheme has helped over 400 families in RBH homes over the last twelve months and provided over 5000 items to these families, whilst also helping to reduce landfill.

In addition, due to a new grant received from the RBH Community Funding Panel, the scheme has 50 brand new sports bras to give away to school age girls with a free bra fitting at a local underwear shop.

To be in with a chance of receiving a sports bra please message the first part of your postcode to the Uniform For All Facebook page.

A draw will take place on 11th August with recipients being equally distributed across Heywood, Middleton, Rochdale, and The Pennines.

If you are a family in need of school uniform, please send a message to the Uniform For All Facebook page with the items your require and someone will get back to you.
